Where We Started

Aitken Bricklaying Servcies has been in operation since October 2014. We are a family run business with over 25 years’ experience in bricklaying and construction. That experience stretches to either end of the globe.

Starting from the North of England, where it’s robust architecture with a mixture of brick and stone was a solid foundation to learn the trade. Advancing South the vast knowledge acquired in London and the surrounding area tremendously contributes to the high level of craftsmanship we now offer to day. Some of the world’s best bricklaying is in London, something we are proud to be a part of.

Several years in the Republic of Ireland further added to the diverse techniques the building industry has to offer. Like the North of England climates can be harsh and housing must be solid and efficient.

The "Big Move"

To warmer climates, we made Australia our home in 2009.

The Northern territories. There the art of Block laying was perfected. Solid structures up there is minimum, cyclones are the risk in the NT.

Finally! We made Sydney our home. Since arriving in Sydney in 2011 we have built not only countless projects along the way, but also built a reputation and friendship with hundreds of builders and clients we are very proud of.

At The Heart

At the heart of Aitken Bricklaying Services we have our two Directors, Dave & Jodi Aitken.

This husband-and-wife partnership are a perfect combination of hard work and dedication which has resulted in a very successful family run business. Offering continued reliability and quality of work to all our friends, colleges and clients across Sydney.

We have a core team of bricklayers and leading hand bricklayers from both sides of the globe, that are very hard working, helpful and knowledgeable in their craft. They allow Aitken Bricklaying Services to grow 'brick by brick', ensuring the stability of our fuure.

What We Do

Aitken Bricklaying Services, is predominantly a high end construction bricklaying company. We have substantial experience in building luxury style homes in and around the coastal regions of Sydney. However, we do cover all aspects of bricklaying from the commercial side to the residential to the word-of-mouth client that may only require a letter box installation. Our aim is to cover everybody’s needs.

We cover all types of masonry. Bricklaying and Block laying is our forte, however we do have a lot of experience of stonework, paving and cross over tiling / cladding. Our knowledge of water prevention, dam proofing and flashings are second to none. Every gang is equipped with a full set of bricklaying equipment, scaffolding and lasers to ensure safety and accuracy. Above all we hold cleanliness in high regard to ensure a safe blank canvas to work off.
